Free of isocyanates, phthalates, solvents and silicone
The application surfaces must be solid, clean, dry and free of grease and oil. Dry surfaces are particularly suitable. They will give you the best results. SMP adhesive sealant SPRINT also adheres to moist surfaces and even under water. These results may be inferior to those with dry and cleaned surfaces. Porous surfaces with greater water load should be primed with deep-penetrating primer (item no. 089054510). On all smooth surfaces (except glass) we recommend pre-cleaning and pre-greasing with IPA cleaner (item no. 0893223500).
Cut off thread cap, screw on nozzle and cut to the required strand width. Apply the adhesive using a suitable application gun. Apply adhesive in vertical beads. Place the work pieces in the correct position within the skin formation time and press these together to ensure that the thickness of the adhesive is at least 2-3 mm between the material and surface. Do not apply the adhesive in dots! The work pieces must be joined within the skin formation time. The parts are fixed/pressed after joining until the functional strength is reached. Reseal the opened cartridge airtight. Remove any adhesive that has escaped while it is still fresh. Cleaning hardened adhesive can only be done mechanically.
For structural bonds in general, automotive, aerospace and construction industries, as well as in container, bodywork, vehicle, caravan, wagon, apparatus, metal, plant, air-conditioning and ventilation system construction etc.
Suitable for tension-free structural bonding between metals and plastics. For sealing and bonding in metal constructions, sealing of welding seams and folded seams, and sheet connection joints that are subsequently thermo-painted.
For plastics containing softeners (e.g. soft PVC, butyl rubber, EPDM and APTK), incompatibilities such as discolouration and loss of adhesion can result. Suitability in this respect should be systematically tested.
